Projekt: Kritische Edition und Übersetzung der Universalchronik Bar ʿEbrōyōs
Eine der großen mittelalterlichen Chroniken, die die weltliche und kirchliche Universalgeschichte von Adam bis Kubilai Khan umfasst, wurde bis heute nicht kritisch ediert.
Simone Pratelli erstellt mit Förderung der DFG eine ungekürzte kritische Edition des syrischen Texts sowohl der Weltchronik von Bar ʿEbrōyō als auch deren anonyme Fortsetzungen bis zum Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts, einschließlich einer verbesserten englischen Übersetzung und einer allgemeinen Einführung. Das gesamte Werk wird voraussichtlich in der Reihe Corpus Scriptorum Christianorum Orientalium veröffentlicht.
